The Auction is up!
See all the wonderful things (including my shawl!) here at the Love Without Boundaries Art Auction This is a fabulous charity. They do so much for the children of China. It is run entirely by volunteers and last year their administratives costs were a mere 1.7%

Red Shawl
Ok, my title writing skills stink.
I finally finished up and mailed off this shawl that has been a while in the making.
The yarn is a thick/thin single spun from the loveliness last seen in this post
Where has it been sent off to? It is taking up a temporary home with the good people at Love Without Boundaries This is a fabulous charity that does incredible work in China. Next month they are holding an art auction on eBay to fund heart surgeries for children who otherwise would go without. My shawl has been accepted as an auction item. Take a minute, click around on their site, bring your tissues.

Oh my
It's been a while hasn't it?
I haven't fallen of the face of the earth, it just feels that way sometimes.
Spent the whole fall/winter doing adoption stuff. Papers, papers and more papers!
All those papers are in China now being reviewed, we are waiting to receive our "invitation to travel" any day now. I'm hoping we'll have Hank home by the end of May!
I fell off the craft wagon pretty hard. I'd crochet a few simple things here & there but nothing worth reporting on. Spun a few yarns too. Tried my hand at sewing a bit, nothing spectacular to show there either. With spring coming I'm feeling a little more energized. Or at least a little less addle-minded where I can concentrate on something for more than five minutes, lol!
I won't make any promises, but I am going to try to do a wee bit more blogging. Hopefully with something interesting to blog about!!

Big changes a'comin
Fiber stuff has been shoved aside for a little bit, but for a good reason!
This is Hank. Hank is five years old and is currently living in an orphanage in China.
He has Albinism. We have started the lonnnngggg paperwork process to adopt him. If things go well, we should be able to bring him home in the late spring or early summer.
Right now we are in a tizzy getting gobs of forms filled out and getting the house up to snuff for our first homestudy visit by the social worker (tomorrow, eeeeekkkkk!)
Once we get past that, there will be plenty of hurry up and wait time for crochet & spinning. And the 12ish hour long plane ride to China to pick him up....
